There is a light that only comes in winter. Low, nearly round, it arrives at random, frost on a window, fairy lights strung through bare trees, stars out early enough to notice. A halo, if you look for it. It gave this collection its name.
The cold plays its part. A baguette is a diamond cut like an icicle, a single clean flash, then another as you turn. Set edge to edge, an unbroken line of light frames the two lockets in this collection, both in the shapes Loquet is known by.
