A Loquet is made to be lived in. Worn against the skin, opened and closed, passed on. With care, it endures. Here is how to care for it, and how we care for you.
The everyday.
Your locket is finely made, with a white sapphire crystal and a delicate signature mechanism. Clean it gently, with a dry lint-free cloth. Your charms, 18k solid gold, set with diamonds and precious stones, may be cleaned more thoroughly with a suitable jewellery solution, then dried completely before they return to the locket.
If something isn't right.
Should a solid gold locket fail through a fault of its making, we will put it right. Whenever it happens. A piece made well should not fail, and when it does, the mending is ours.
Our collection is now entirely 18k solid gold. Earlier pieces in 9kt, no longer made, we repair for two years from purchase, but if you hold one and it needs us, write to us all the same. We would rather find a way than turn you away.
Caring for it over the years.
The gentler attentions of a piece lived in are part of owning something for a long time, and we are always here to see to them. These we offer as a service, for a fair charge, throughout the life of your locket. Send it to us whenever it needs us, and we will return it to you beautifully.
Two things to keep from it.
Water and a hard fall sit outside this care, as with all fine jewellery. A locket should never be worn in water, shower, sea or bath, nor cleaned with water or solution. A finely made piece rewards a little care. Where damage comes from water, perfume or a fall, we will guide you on what can be done.
